Question: What is a digital negative?

Answer: It is a high resolution JPEG file (16×20 print capability) that you are able to download and save to your computer. Think of an old picture negative expect this one is digital and can be saved and emailed to your local print shop to make actual prints.

Question: How soon can I see the photos online after our session?

Answer: Online images are available to view and proof within 10-14 business days following our session. Weddings, Boudoir and Newborn Session are different and require more editing time usually 20-30 working days.

Question:How long will the photos be available online for to view?

Answer: Each gallery will be available online for 1 month and will allow you to purchase high quality prints using professional paper in Matte, Metallic, Lustre or Glossy finish. {Lustre is my personal favorite}

Question: Can I have the photography done in my home?

Answer:  The only sessions I do in home are newborn sessions. Otherwise I prefer using nature as my backdrop.

Question: How many photos do you take in an average 30 minute session?

Answer: This varies, but typically 20-50 pictures. However it depends on factors outside of my control (weather, uncooperative children, etc.)

Question: Why are the online pictures watermarked?

Answer: All pictures are watermarked with a PROOF watermark until you select your picks ( the number of picks you get varies per package). Only your picks will be un-watermarked. Additional rights for portraits can be purchased. ($25.00 per picture) This means you will have the ability to download or save without PROOF watermark to your personal computer, print, and share with family and friends.

Question: How many photos can I choose out of my package to be retouched?

Answer: For each session six of your favorite photos will be retouched and made available for you to download, order prints, save to your personal computer or save to a disc. Additional photos available for purchase.

Question: Do my 6 images come on a cd?

Answer: No, I don’t provide a disc with any of my packages. I do provide USB memory drives. Prices for USB memory drives start at $50.00 depending on amount of memory needed ( I recommend downloading! Downloading is really easy and I can walk you through it.)

Question: What if I don’t like my images do you do retakes?

Answer:  Sure but it will cost the same amount as a regular session. The only exception for another session of free retakes is if all the images in your gallery are clearly unusable. ( i.e. image is out of focus,  lighting is off) where clearly there was something wrong with my gear that day. I have to say this has NEVER happened  but I have received emails from clients who were not happy because everyone was not smiling. I do try my very best to get everyone to look at my camera and smile but I CAN’T force a child or adult to smile so for this reason I don’t offer a FREE retakes. Please view my portfolio so that you are aware of my shooting style before purchasing a session with me.

Question: What should I wear?

Answer: Wear what feels most comfortable to you. If you are uncomfortable it will show in your pictures. Dark solid colors work well. Bold patterns & stark whites tend to be overpowering in pictures and after the all the focus should be on you and not the clothes right? Women, if you are concerned about your arms looking big I suggest wearing sleeves even if you fold them up its more flattering than wearing a sleeveless shirt especially if your arms aren’t you best feature, believe me I personally learned my lesson. 🙂 Most importantly don’t forget to wear your smile it really is everyone’s best feature. Question: Will you pose us?

Answer: In some circumstances I do light posing. I actually love following my clients around and getting more natural poses {joking, laughing, whispering to each other etc…} I like to capture clients as they truly are. Authentic pictures is what I always strive for. If you look at my portfolio you will see that some posing is done but nothing overboard. I’m open to recommendations and props so if you know a look you want I’m open to trying it out. Just contact me prior to our session so that we can discuss your ideas.
